It looks and tastes excellent

The culinary delights from the kitchen are characterized by a love of traditional Danish cuisine, combined in various ways with international influences and a wide selection of delicious salads and green dishes. The homemade bread, cakes, and cookies are truly something special.

Tina Lund Sørensen is the head of the kitchen. A team of 20 employees with varying working hours takes excellent care of the guests.

The Danish Organic Cuisine Label – Bronze

The kitchen has been awarded the Danish Ministry of Food’s Organic Cuisine Label in bronze. This means that between 30 and 60 percent of all food and beverages served are organic.

The Dining Hall

Tables are set for six people, and we begin each meal by singing a table hymn. This creates a warm sense of community and provides the foundation for many good conversations. At all meals in the Dining Hall, it is also possible to sit at a quiet table located at the back of the room.

Beverages

Ice water is served with lunch and dinner. It is also possible to purchase soft drinks, beer, wine, and spirits. Beverages can be bought in the dining room and in the small bar located in the hallway outside the lounge. Please note that it is not permitted to consume brought-in beverages in the common areas.

Special Diets – Additional Charge

The Refugium serves healthy, varied, and well-balanced meals. At lunch and dinner, there is always at least one vegetarian dish (without meat or fish) as well as five different green salads. If you require a vegan diet or medically related dietary options such as gluten-free or lactose-free meals, or if you have other special dietary requirements, please inform us before arrival by emailing mail@loegumkloster-refugium.dk.

For special dietary requirements such as vegan, gluten-free, or lactose-free meals, an additional charge of DKK 50 per day will apply.

Packed Lunch

It is possible to order a packed lunch – including a vegetarian option. The price is DKK 75. For guests with full board, it can be chosen as an alternative to lunch at no extra charge. Packed lunches must be ordered at the reception no later than 6:00 PM on the previous day.

Celebrations

It is possible to host celebrations in these beautiful surroundings – for example wedding receptions, golden wedding anniversaries, milestone birthdays, or similar events. Our only requirement is that the event ends no later than 10:30 PM, as it must be compatible with the Refugium’s other activities. Please contact us for menu suggestions and prices.

Memorial Gatherings

Following a funeral, the Refugium provides a beautiful and atmospheric setting for a memorial gathering, and the garden hall can accommodate up to 120 guests. Please contact us for suggestions and pricing.
